A Little Bit of Fish Oil Could Go A Long Way For Meghan McCain

I received three video clips from a friend of mine yesterday, one showcasing Meghan McCain’s appearance on the talk show “The View.” At first, I could not remember exactly who she was, but then it dawned on me.

She’s the daughter of Senator John McCain, and as such, considers herself fairly important to the future of the Republican Party. Others disagree, and her appearance on “The View” was used to promote her political point of view, which is “moderate republicanism” (whatever THAT means).

McCain got into a scrum with Ann Coulter, basically telling her where she could put her message (where the moon don’t shine). Coulter parried back, and then Laura Ingraham, a talk radio host, joined in the battle, on the side of Coulter. Insults were hurled, and McCain said Ingraham called her “plus sized” (a euphemism, if ever I heard one).

I have heard Laura Ingraham previously and I think her insult towards McCain was meant to kill two birds with one stone. It seemed to me that she wanted to show solidarity with Coulter’s politics and she wanted to score points by calling out McCain for being fat. Despite all the negativity, I enjoyed Ingraham and Coulter more than I did McCain — they just looked to be at the top of their game: funny and smart, rather than (I hate to say it) boring.

As far as size goes, McCain is comparable with everyone on the panel at “The View” except Elisabeth what’s-her-name. And I don’t mean that as a compliment. A few weeks ago Jay Leno had called Joy Behar “fat,” on his own show, along with a few other choice insults. McCain, while on “The View” stood up for herself by telling everyone that they could just kiss her fat a%* — which is exactly that same thing that Tyra Banks did when confronted with the media calling her fat.

Looking back at her father’s campaign last fall, I have to say that I don’t remember Meghan McCain at all. But it now seems that she believes that the successful future of the Republican Party is her responsibility. Take a look at her blog and you’ll see what I mean. And after viewing the clip from “The View” we can safely say that she is like her father in at least one way: her temper.

If she is thinking of running for her father’s seat in Arizona anytime in the near future, I would strongly advise her to stock up on some fish oil.

There have been some very interesting behavioral studies done recently which indicate that fish oil can have a beneficial effect on the mind; some studies showing a reduction in incidences of angry and/or violent conduct.

I remember reading about some British studies which concluded that young adults who took fish oil on a daily basis had a much lower rate of what was referred to as “hooliganism.”

Tying this in with Ms. McCain, I do believe that she might have refrained from being so quick on the trigger if she had been on a regimen of Dr. Bill’s Powerhouse Omega Formula. It’s quite possible that the omega-3 fatty acids contained in Dr. Bill’s Formula might have helped her hold her temper. One of the benefits of taking pharmaceutical-grade fish oil is having a clearer mind and the heightened ability to focus one’s thoughts. It’s one of the reasons I take it myself.

One thing I must add: I don’t believe it is a good idea to call oneself “young, fat, and proud of it”, whether you are Meghan McCain or Tyra Banks. I would be willing to bet good money that after proclaiming on national television that their critics could kiss their fat a%$ they went on a diet. And I think that’s part of the problem.

I believe that if they took my counsel, that is, nutritious food, a steady exercise program, a good amount of rest and the addition of pharmaceutical-grade fish oil to their daily diet, they would find that things would go more smoothly for them. And no one would need to mention their rear ends again, especially on national television.
